Question About Torque Converter Replacement
I’m reading the shop manual about torque converter replacement on my 2015 A8 and it details removing the torque tube as part of the process. Is that the normal process or can the transmission be removed while leaving the torque tube in the car? This will be my first time. TIA

Don't know. But if you remove the torque tube, follow this procedure when you reinstall - otherwise the engine thrust bearing can be damaged:

I always leave the TT in the car. Can easily unbolt all the BH bolts from the TT by letting it swing down a bit. Just be careful with your angles so that you don't smack the engine into the firewall.
