Default exhaust help please

So I ordered & installed a borla atak axleback & borla xpipe (factory cats) on my 2016 Stingray. when i picked it up & heard the first start up, I was actually pretty disappointed, sounded like an eco boost mustang. My mustang GT had cat-back full exhaust & was obnoxiously loud; what would I have to do to get loud roar out of the corvette? is it the axle back and xpipe combo, do I need to upgrade my headers & cats? or get a different mid pipe?

Eliminate the mufflers altogether for a start.

Headers and no cats with the borla attack will do it.

OP I agree with you on the sound, But do what this guy is telling you to do. Putting LT headers on it with no cats at all will not help at all to the sound that you from what I am hearing from.. Ask me how I know about the same exhaust with the LT headers with no cats.. Yes I did it & want more went to the no mufflers & loved the sound around town BUT IF YOU drive the car on a trip & interstate it is bad. But for a town car you will loved just putting a pipe & cutting out the mufflers out.. Robert

Robert,
I have a '16 stingray coupe without NPP exhaust, and my mechanic suggested the long tube headers, x pipe without cats, and stock mufflers. I'm looking for a deeper exhaust note, without highway drone. He has done this with several C6 vettes and says that this will achieve what I'm after, but after reading several posts here in the forum, I don't think so.
Any thoughts?
