Default 2019 corvette drag race

Getting ready to drag race my 2019 C7 Z51 corvette for the 1st time, its all stock with stock tires. My question is what would be the most affective way to launch the car? In track mode? traction control on? Should i take air out of the tires?

You really can't take a lot of air out of the tires. If the tires have no air in them they are shaped like they have 26 psi pressure.

If you have MRC you can choose Track/Sport 1 and will have some throttle dampening, Stability Control, PTM (with launch control if you want to use it) but there will be no traction control other than what PTM provides. If you choose Track/Sport 2 you will have the same amount of throttle dampening as Track/Sport 1 and PTM but you won't have Stability Control. Track/Race all you have is PTM.

Touring mode, you need the weight transfer to the rear for traction. T/C off, press it once. When doing burn out start in Manual mode in 1 gear and roll out of it. Shift your auto into D drive when staging up.

Yep , all C7's have launch control

Not sure how to put yours in launch control mode but on my 2015 A8 LT1 Non Magnetic shock car I just put it in track mode , tap the center console button twice to get into competition mode , roll around the water , back-up and do a burnout, if on street tires, don't get them to hot or they get greasy. , then you roll up on the starting line press the brake hard , very hard , like a emergency stop hard , floor the gas pedal and then release just after the last yellow lights up . It's like getting shot out of a cannon 😀
Some say you will make a faster run without it but 1.7 60 ft times on factory MPSS run flats is not slow 😀 and it's better than blazing the tires off at the starting line which is easy to do

If you can't find it check your owners manual
