Default No Electrical Power

Sunday I started to open the door on my 2016 Stingray. It wouldn't open. I opened the hatch plugged in the Ctek battery tender. After a day and a half hadn't been charged. In fact, the error light lit up. I resent the mod and the same happened. I got Auto Zone to replace my 17-month-old Odyssey battery. Replaced the battery and no power. What would cause the entire body power to go dead? Is there a master power fuse? I believe it was last driven in mid-September with no problems.

Yep that's the starter fuse. Direct feed to the starter. If that blew PM me I can show you how to fix it without having to spend hundreds on the entire fuse assembly.

My question is if it's that fuse attached to the positive side of the battery why did it blow? I last drove the car in early to mid-September. I got sick and was in the hospital in early October and spent most of October recovering. On October 31st I planned on taking a drive but the door wouldn't open!!! So I hooked up my Ctek battery tender.

Tomorrow it's being taken to the local Chevy dealer. If it is that 350 amp fuse my question is what caused it to blow? I want the Chevy dealer to address the root cause. You see it's a 2016 with roughly 23,000 miles. It's covered by the Platinum Plan GM Extended Warranty. It's because of the array of extensive electronics in the C7 that I purchased that warranty.

Thank you for the insight you have provided me.

It shouldn't blow just from trying to open the door. Pretty easy to do a fuse check with a multi-meter.

I hate to admit between my buddy and me we didn't have all of the connections at the battery securely tightened.

Yesterday afternoon I was out fooling around. I pressed on that mega fuse and I saw sparks. I went around and retightened all of the battery connections and I suddenly was good.

I greatly appreciate everyone's input and am embarrassed that between my buddy and me we missed a fundamental battery connection. I did this too often as a kid to make such a huge screwup!!!!

I've seen this a lot here. It seems very easy to tighten everything and still not have good connections. Glad you figured it out.
