I'm planning on installing an Extreme Online Stage 2 front splitter. The standard install uses 10 screws and 10 rivets. I'd like to find a suitable alternative to the rivets (screws and clips, nutsets, fasteners, quarter turns, something). The splitter is going to need to come off in the future, in particular because one of my front cameras just went out, so the front bumper etc has to be removed to service. And likely will have to replace the splitter after a year of track days. So rivets are a poor choice here.
Looking for suggestions for a sturdy and removable install technique.
I told you I just installed the same piece you are talking about 2 days ago.
There are NO rivets in the kit, no rivets in the directions, no rivets needed for the install at all.
I reply that to you and even go so far as to include a picture of the same item you are talking about, to show you I do infact know what I am talking about.
Yet you just go on to respond about rivets still.
Did you read a word I typed out for you?
Was I just wasting my time by providing you information?
Stage 2 EOS installed here also without rivets too. I don't drive over 100mph where it probably starts to matter. The roads around here in Central Florida are trash dumps for every contractor and lawn guy so the likely of splitter damage is great and not having the rivets makes it much easier to replace.
BTW, IMHO the quality and design of the EOS Stage-2 sucks for anyone considering it.

Thank you for your post. I must admit that I'm one of those ordinary fools who prefer to learn from their own mistakes rather than the experience of others.
After your extremely detailed instructions in the original post, I was simply too sheepish to admit that I needed more information. I was rather confused by the fact that my kit actually did include rivets:
So I figured that EOS must have put the wrong kit in, since it was clear that you knew what you were talking about.
In the end I figured it out. The jack nuts were a fail after all--as I'm sure you knew a priori. I ended up using the factory screws in the rear set of holes, and both u-clips and self tappers in the front set, and not using any of the rivet holes for now. It held up on track yesterday (~135mph top).
To the other folks who helpfully pointed out that the bumper can be removed without removing the splitter, thank you as well.
I wouldn't have a splitter, so I'm not familiar with where the rivets go, but on race cars I often use Riv-nuts for aero-parts applications, which allow one to screw things together. You might wish to check them out if you've never used them. All the best.

I just now saw this post or I would have responded earlier.
how freaking weird that we both bought the same kit and mine did not come with rivits.
Mine has been fine as well.
I haven't driven it much lately due to the season but put quite a few miles on it before it got cold.
