I have the slightly older OBDLink MX (not the Plus model). BUT...it's nothing without software. It has the hardware to talk to both the high and low speed buses on the C7.
I don't know of any software that will work with the OBDLink that also allows reading the proprietary GM stuff. If someone knows of such software, I'd love to hear about it.

Sorry for the delay. I received the unit and tried it out over the weekend. It's a nice piece of kit but did not have enough additional capabilities over the VeePeak I have. To me it's not worth the $120 so it's going back. My needs are occasional and light. If you absolutely need the GM specific stuff it may be worth it to some folks. I got it via Amazon so it has free/easy returns. Anyway, that's all I have to report. YMMV.

Veepeak has everything I generally need. The OBDLink has additional GM specific "read" abilities for GM OE codes. Their website has detailed info on what that brings to the party. I didn't feel I needed them so not worth the $$$ for it over what I have with the Veepeak. YMMV.
I’ve owned one for almost two years and used it on a number of vehicles, including my C7. I use it with an Android tablet and it suits my needs and works well. I would recommend it. There are many more items on its diagnostic menu than on my old Tech 2 (that still has value when used on older GM vehicles). With the MX+ GM add-on package I have the following menu options available for diagnostics using the tool (as displayed with the unit plugged into a C7):
