Default Changed clutch fluid, Ranger Method

As the title says, I changed my fluid in my clutch system. I used synthetic dot 4 fluid. It took about 4 or 5 reservoirs full and the fluid is a golden color just like the fresh fluid. It was black before. Now I need to flush the brakes when I get time. I will probably get one of those pressure bleeders first. The car is a 2014 with 8700 miles on it, so it needs new fluids.

I was happy with the Ranger method too, until I found this, that's basically a modified Ranger method. It works really well, greatly improving pedal feel and clutch performance.

Buy this. You will thank me when you're done. Don't put the fluid in the bleeder (too messy). This kit comes with ATF 200 which I used many times.

^Yes, a great product. I bought one a month ago and flushed the fluid on my recently acquired '14.

Keep topping off the reservoir as you go, and bleed the calipers in the order of farthest to nearest the ABS control module. So RR--LR--RF--LF.

For each caliper, bleed the inner nipple first, then the outer nipple.

I already had that in my cart on Amazon. I saw it demonstrated on Youtube awhile ago and knew that is what I needed. I can do it by myself with that thing and not make a mess. Having a lift in my shop helps also. Thanks for the info on the clutch flush.

I like yellow too. I see you got yours from Carvana too. So far so good! Thanks!

Yes - it worked EXACTLY as shown for me. The closest to 1/8" OD tubing I found was 3mm OD, which worked fine.

Not sure what will come out of yours, but this method removed additional dirty fluid from mine even after a few rounds of Ranger. Obviously, YMMV.

When I shopped, the individual parts from/thru Amazon were less expensive than the kit directly from Motive.

Thanks,
I honestly dont remember. I bought it maybe 10 years ago, previously used on my C6. And use it now at least once a year on my C7.

I use Castrol SRF now.
