You are correct, there is no way to wire in OEM NPP mufflers in a non-NPP Corvette so that it will operate like OEM. Beside the wiring that isnt there you are also missing the BCM programming as well and there is no way to get that modified or changed as GM doesnt support that as a option thru the dealerships.
But all is not lost. The valves are spring loaded to the full open position. You can jam the valves partially closed and experiment w/ how far you close them. Get a piece of 1/8x1 inch aluminum and bend it like this.

The curved piece above the aluminum is the edge of the valve. W/o the jammer it would be down across the center of the pipe. The nice thing is that the edge of the valve has a small bend over. So you hold it partially closed by hand and slip the jammer in underneath it. The bend over keeps the jammer from sliding out from under the valve. Mine have been in for over a year and never slipped. Note this is the right side pipe. the left side pipe is opposite. The jammer goes on the top there. Of course you could always leave the valves full open if you like. I prefer them adjusted some so I can whale on the gas, have a nice tone, but don't pi$$ too many people off or draw attention to myself.
Does anyone know how to avoid the double pictures when using Flickr. I tried using the forum upload process but it makes the pictures huge.
