I agree! If I would have known the entire engine needed to be rebuilt, I would have either bought a crate lt4 or a used one and rebuilt it. FML I'll make sure I check with my Speed Shop about the crank and other parts that may fail if I choose to increase the horsepower this much. That's the only reason I may just do a TCM tune and catch can. Don't really need more than 600 wheel horsepower and the more power you add the more things break. The stock automatic transmission in this thing is garbage.
The LT1 crank will hold 900whp no problem with forged rods/pistons. I’ve only heard rumors the LT4 crank is stronger than the LT1. The Z51 crank is interchangeable with the LT4 crank in terms of fit/function. This would mean it has to be material/hardening differences but I haven’t seen any proof.
