I have a 2014 c7 z51 and I’m recently have electric problem where when I try to start the car it clicks and goes off and acts like it’s a dead battery but then I disconnect the battery and reconnect it it starts like nothing is wrong and drives like it’s nothing wrong and the battery terminals are clean any ideas?
I will try that again but I just changed it out last yeah and when I in hook the battery and then hook it back up the car works fine and volts are good and stable
Check your battery cable clamps and the fuse assembly on the positive cable. Clean up any corrosion and make sure everything is clean and tight. It is important that the clamps are pushed down and level on the battery posts to get the best contact.
Make sure the small black sensing wire is connected to the negative battery clamp and not broken.
Batteries can fail at any time - have seen bad ones on the store shelf. Require a new battery be load tested before you accept it.

it looks likes the battery holder was three turns loose since then it’s been starting fine.
The clamp holding the battery in place? This is not electrical. I think you are treating a symptom, not the cause.
Or do you mean the fuse assembly on top of the battery?
Maybe the battery moving around pulls a loose connection or bad cable out of position or something, causing a poor connection, high resistance, and voltage drop. The low voltage would cause the "click not start" issue.
Sure sounds like a poor connection, bad cable, or bad ground.
I would check all of the connections on the battery fuse block - especially at the 350 amp fuse, the battery cable to clamp connection, and the connection of the "other end" of the negative battery cable to ground.
The symptoms described indicate a loose connection. Remove and replace and the car starts with no problem. This can happen as the act of replacing the connector permits it to make contact for a while. However, over time the connector may gradually relax and the resistance of the connection increases to the point it won't flow sufficient current to let the starter crank the engine. The connections may be clean but if they are loose they still won't flow electricity effectively. Check both battery positive and ground cables and check the battery ground cable attachment to the frame. Check the battery positive cable connection to the starter.
Does your fan run after you shut the car off? It may be draining your battery and you need to replace the thermostat ( really easy and under 30 minutes, even for a non mechanical).
If the fan shuts off a few minutes after power off, skip this suggestion.
