C7 Automatic Transmission Track Specific Oil Level?
On page 4 of the 2019 Corvette Track prep .pdf, it says:
"Have the transmission fluid set to the track-specific oil level prior to track usage. Replace fluid after track usage Please Note: Any transmission level set or change should be performed at your dealer."
I have the old 2015 repair manual from before this procedure was deemed necessary. I know the old procedure for filling the transmission, but I don't know the new procedure for the track level. Does anyone know it? Is anyone with the 2019 repair manual willing to look it up for me?\
I was thinking from looking at the trans pan you fill it from the trans pan until it runs out then put the nut back into place. How can you fill it much over that. I am keeping a eye on this to see what comes up for this. Robert

Agreed, that’s the only way I see that I think is possible. I guess it could have something to do with what temp you get the trans up to when you are filling. Maybe you fill it when the car is at a higher temp?

Eh, who knows. A Chevy dealer over-filled mine by about 3 quarts once. I drove it 500 miles and several hard laps on track. All it did was pump all the extra transmission fluid out the vents in the top of the transmission.

Dam transmission shop under filled my trans by a qt & it took out the bands in it. I got the circle D kit for it 3500.00 then cost me 800.00 to have a good shop to put it back together. So it may hate to being low than having more in it. Also less than 500 miles of just street use here. Robert
