Default P0174 Code 2017 Z06

I installed a Corsa CAI on my 2017 Z06 about 1,200 miles ago. Car is not tuned and has 30,600 miles on it. No other mods to the car. While traveling back home I had a CEL come on. Pulled the code and it was P0174. Car runs fine and does not have a rough idle. Anyone have this happen before? I did search this code in the forums and googled it. P0174 system to lean (Bank 2)
If so, where did you start? Vacuum leak, clear code and put stock intake back on it. I figured if the CAI was at fault, it would have thrown the code much sooner.
Thanks

If you have a scan tool see what the fuel trims look like for bank 1…some aftermarket air filters (most of these are not true COLD air intakes if taking air from underhood) can set a lean code but will involve BOTH banks…the air is not just going to only one bank…it may take awhile for the ECM to adjust its strategy for airflow and the fuel trim “cells”… bank 1 fuel trims (long term fuel trim) may not be high enough to set a P0171..usually around 23% long term will set the DTC…if you’re in SW Florida I’d be happy to look at it for you…make sure your CAI connections are tight and not leaking…if you think you have a vacuum leak I can show you how to use a scan tool to diagnose this.

I'll make sure the CAI is on tight and see if I can find a vacuum leak. Thank for that information. I will check the fuel trims and I around the Tampa area.

If you think you have a vacuum leak observe your long and short term fuel trims at idle and at 3000 RPM for a few minutes…if long terms are elevated at idle and slowly decrease at 3000 RPM you have a vacuum leak somewhere !!
