About a year ago I ordered a ProCharger for my 14. I did the install and was fighting fuel issues. I ended up replacing the in tank pump, High pressure pump and injectors to LT4. I changed out the LT1 HPFP probably 6 times with various used and new pumps because we kept seeing a dip in high pressure. I also replaced the valved feed line to the HPFP. It turned out the pulley sent with the blower was smaller than expected. The tuner I used was working with a local shop for dyno time. They even looked over the car and we were all scratching our heads. This car just wouldn't run right. I decided to try a different shop / tuner and one of the first things they said was you need a 3 bar MAP even if its not making much boost. "We have to know what the car is doing" The car was making 4-5 lbs more boost than expected and had an O2 going out. New shop got the car running but recommended slightly larger pulley and meth injection. I ordered those items and took my car home to enjoy until those items came in. Fast forward 2 weeks and I lose a valve spring. luckily the valve only dropped a few mm and didn't collide with rotating assembly. The car then sat for about 9 months. I pulled the engine apart and since I was beefing up the valvetrain I decided to add a cam to the mix. My heads are currently at the machine shop getting cleaned up. I have the cam and all other valvetrain parts. Once the heads are back I'll get her re-assembled then its back to the shop where they are installing the meth kit. The car has an Alky kit with dual 15 nozzles and a rear stealth mounted pro meth fuel cell ,since I like using my wiper fluid. Really excited to hear the car after the new cam. I REALLY can't wait to cruise it around again.
The car made 625 at a little over 10lbs with 11 degrees of timing. Tuner said once we can cool the cylinders with meth we can sprinkle in some more timing.
Cam specs:
Duration @ .050 227/235
Lobe Lift: .353/.353
Valve lift @ 1.8 .635/.635
LSA 114
Center line 110
32% fuel lobe

The take away from this story is always use a competent shop and tuner. A **** poor shop / tuner who doesn’t know what they are doing will mess your engine up in a heartbeat!
I think my tuner mentioned the MAP sensor but he didn't push for it at all. He seemed really dead set on it being one of my fuel pumps. That's what happens when you make assumptions.
Over the weekend I swapped in my new cam, dropped in the new lifters / trays, and cleaned the surface of the block in prep for some new gaskets. There's a lot of work to be done still, but it doesn't feel like it. I know once I have to fight the steering rack I'll feel differently LOL.
The car is back together!!!! It has a street tune for the cam to break in the new parts. Unfortunately the diff is starting to go out. Ordered a new diff and clutch since the car is making more power.
