Looking for a new set of wheels for my 19 Z06 (non Z07). I came across some Forgestars from Element Wheels. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the brand.
1.) Just as good or better than OEM?
2.) Are they “worth the money” or should I just go with something else? Ex. Forgeline
3.) Is the finish quality?
Someone was selling a like-new set of Foreline VX1 for like $4000 on the forum recently. That's quite a deal. Might want to check those out. Might still be for sale. Edit: See below.
I recently purchased a set of Forgestar wheels for my Z06, and installed them last week. I bought them during their buy 3, get 1 free, holiday sale. That deal was for the standard painted finish, which is terrible. I returned 3 of them due to paint defects. 2 of the replacements were just as bad as the originals. So, I decided to have them powdercoated locally. They look beautiful now, and they balanced just fine. But if I had to do it over again, I would have bought a set of flow formed wheels from one of the higher-end manufacturers. I just hope that they hold up. You get what you pay for.

thats what I was afraid of. I’m looking at the CF10 In gloss black
"...as good or better than OEM?" This is hardly a real recommendation given all the issues with OEM wide-body wheels. Look at the "sticky" about wheel problems at the top of the C7 General Forum here. My one and only suggestion is to get quality fully-forged wheels. Anything less is no better than OEM and a waste of time and money... since you ask. All the best.

Any recommended brands that won’t completely break the bank? Lol. I’m looking for the look of the forgestar cf10
I have 5 sets of wheels for my Z06/7. I have found that the Forgestars have some quality issues but are very cost effective and good looking. I had a set on my 99 FRC which where great. So they might be the best bang for the buck. However, I have 2 sets of Forgelines at the moment and have found the quality and finish to be excellent. Not to mention the Load rating is very high (VX1 is 1900lbs) and use that set on the track. The truth is that the Stock wheels that GM makes have a host of well documented issues and the Flow Formed have limited capability to support and fit the C7's. I can only say if you want a good quality wheel you have to spend a little bit more. Plus I really appreciate that Forgelines are made in the USA.
