Yes, you do NOT need a tune for just the lid and bricks.
What they change is lower the intake air temps which the computer uses to decide if it needs to take out timing. The hotter the air coming in the more timing is removed and less power - with the 2017 lid and bricks the air doesn't get as hot so you keep the timing and power.
Glad to hear this news, thanks for he info jglassmaker! I will install them this weekend then, cant wait to see if there is a difference in at least some power and the sound of the s/c whine.

It will not affect power or SC whine. I swapped a 2017+ SC into my 2015 Z two years ago. I didn't notice any increase in whine or power, You still have to bleed the SC properly for the bricks to provide the improved charge air cooling to cylinders 7 and 8. The bricks help reduce power loss Vs improve power.

How did the install go? Do the 17-19 bricks fit? What kind of modification are needed to make them fit?
There's a thread that details the full conversion procedure. Since the 2017 and up bricks sit differently in the SC housing, I think the only mod you'll need to worry about is mounting them in there. Lots of guys have done it. I would use the forum search.
