I installed a K&N cold air intake on the car yesterday and so far its been fine. I do notice a high pitched sound when I step on the gas pedal hard, like a whistling. I've got no CEL or anything else, car is running great. Just that occasional sound.
Nothing to worry about there! This whistle under load is completely normal with pretty much any cold air intake in general, not even just anything Corvette specific. What you're hearing is the intake actually doing it's job - suck in more air! The factory air filter boxes are designed to muffle as much noise as possible for driver comfort, most aftermarket air intake systems, especially any that are open filters without a new box, will allow a lot of naturally occurring noises to become more noticeable. On top of that, it's designed to perform better than the factory filter and draw as much air as possible and that whistle is simply a by-product of that air being sucked in and often times is the sound of it passing by the throttle body blade in most vehicles.
Since you described it as a whistle when accelerating, it sounds pretty normal to me. Now, if there's any noises that could sound like a vacuum leak at idle, it never hurts to double check clamps and connections and make sure they're all secure. But it doesn't sound like anything to worry about to me!
