Default Spring Rates

Do the Stingrays, z51s and Grand Sports have the springs? I don’t care for the Magnetic Ride on my Grand Sport, I wondered if I put Stingray shocks on it I could get a softer ride.

Different spring rates, shock damping, and anti-roll bar spring rates for Stingray, Z51, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZE7 (??) option.

If you disconnected and left the mag-ride connectors unhooked from shocks, it would likely gripe at you (error message[s]) unless you had something to "fool" the computer plugged into them. Swapping out anything normally "plugged into" the system can cause problems unless it's possible to dial it out with software.

If you don't have a 2019, you may want to consider getting the mag ride software update: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-was-done.html
I had it done to my 2017 and made a significant difference (especially in Tour mode).

I see kits to fool the the computer and eliminate the CEL. They range $40 to $400+. Can anyone recommend one or had any experience with these?

Getting a softer ride is more a function of the spring rates. Install base Stingray springs and you will have a much more comfortable ride, although the softest damping of the Magride shocks might be too much for the lower rate springs...if the ride is still too firm , then also change to base shocks and plug in the dummy resistors to prevent the Mag Ride computer from generating fault codes/trouble lights.....or just buy a Lexus(??)

Default Dsc

Put a DSC in my 2019 GS. Makes a big difference as the ride is more comfortable in Sport or Track mode, but tightens up when the computer senses a need. Both Sport and Track almost feel as soft a Touring. The difference is the stock MRC is constantly applying voltage to the shock and the DSC does it on demand. Its a little pricey at $1200, but it made a difference in ride and handling. You can tune it more with software available from them for a laptop.

What is DSC? Guess I am stuck with this car. So I have to some with the suspension.
