Does anyone know of a tuner that can do a tune with handheld? I am doing boltons for now and gonna get dyno tune in 2 months after heads, cam, intake swap. Any help appreciated.
Just off the shelf, i live in Middle Tennessee and my dyno tuner is in Ga. This works out good for me to be able to drive it down when ready to put it in the dyno. I will say though, my bolton C5 that was tuned by this guy was dead on.

Used Lewis Eaton (diablolew) and he is great. I did a few things on my car and had him upgrade my tune-CAI first, Soler/TB Controller second, then x-pipe cat delete. Have to be patient as you start with a log, upload his tune, then verify by logging a 0-1/4 mile through the gears and sending it back. Then you have drive 100 miles and send another log for verification. He actually said I was getting knock and I saw it on the data log on my computer. He mentioned the brand of 93 that I was using was notorious for knock. Switched to non-ethanol 93 mobil and no more knock showing on the data log. Just for kicks, I turned the tune back to stock and the car felt a lot slower. His service is worth the money. You have 1 year to get it done.

Wonder why. Ethanol doesn't reduce octane, does it?
Lew also had knock on mine while data logging.Switched fuels and nothing else and knock went away.Don't want to list a name on here but he strongly urges against one particular brand.
If you’re going to be doing heads/cam etc., chances are your dyno tune will be done by someone with HPTuners. I would start with HPTuners and get an email tune from one of the recommended tuners on this forum.

Why? If it is bad, we should know about it. PM me if you feel inclined to go that way. Thanks

Wouldn't the package be better if it was by the tuner? IOW, go with what the tuner recommends and dyno tune it as opposed to getting a package together and ask the tuner to make it work?
Shell fuel seems to knock more regardless of another Top Tier brand with or without ethanol. I have seen Shell 93 fuel be more prone to knock than any other top tier fuel. E0 93 octane and E10 93 octane are the same in regards to knock resistance so there isn't a need to go finding non ethanol fuel. Just run another Top Tier like Exxon, Mobil, Sunoco, Chevron, etc...
Get in touch with Alex Peitz at Pietz Performance Tunes. He trains for HP Tuners regularly and can tune pretty much everything. PM me for the number if you want it..Tell him Dave Thomas from Greer, SC that told you about him. He did my 16 Z06 that's my avatar.
