High Mileage Engine Oil

Hey everyone, My '14 Stingray has almost 80K miles and I was wondering if I should switch to Mobile 1's high mileage synthetic blend instead of continuing to use the Dexos 1 recommended in the owner's manual. I've seen some videos in youtube where people are starting to use the high mileage blend, but not sure if that's the right way to go, and if the recommended Dexos 1 blend will provide a much better engine protection for a high mileage vehicle. Thanks!

You having any issues with what you are using now: consumption, leakage, or...? If not, why change what's working?

I don't think 80k is high miles. I'd just stay with what you've been using. I've been using Mobil 5w-30 on my daily for 234k miles (since new), and I'm not changing to high mileage oil.

True. Just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this, or had any suggestions of different oil blends. Thx!

I agree that if your engine isn't using more oil than what is "normal" for it, probably best not to change anything.
