Default Weapon X LT4 Lid Install

Okay got it a few hours ago.. couldn't wait. Have to give a shout out to Weapon X and Harding Performance.
Once old Lid off I did a little cleaning underneath, was almost no oil except a few drops in a crevice.
Degreased the grooves on new Lid and got the Gaskets switched over.

Jason at Harding Performance supplied me with 6AL4V GR5 Titanium Bolt Kit. The beauty of these are they are 10mm Hex & 5mm Allen so torquing those rear bolts against firewall much easier.

The way the weapon X lid is the plastic Locators are only used on the outside 16 holes. The inner 4 are machined to the bolt size and are not needed. I did 3 rounds of torque just to be safe. 30 in-lb, 55 in-lb, and the final 89 in-lb. Remember it's in-lb not ft-lb

Weapon X supplied some very nice bolts with the lid, but already planned to use the Titanium ones from Harding Performance.

I took some GoPro videos will have to post the comparison to hear the difference in the "whine" It sounds louder to my ear. Hopefully video will show the differences. Excited t o get it on the Corvette finally.

That is beautiful. So much more appealing to the eye than the factory caged lid. Well done and a great write up.

If you like to hear supercharger whine that little bit doesn't make a difference
