The display in my 2015 C7 turns off (screen black) every time I drive. It might flick off as I go over a bump and turn on again with the next bump. Often it won’t turn on until I have been driving for 5-10 minutes. The battery is original (18,000 miles). Any chance the problem is the battery and not the display or the Hmi module? Thank you.
That year suffered from the cable issue I believe. If you search enough on the forum you will see the issue and the fix. It does involve removing the dash and infotainment unit to reach and replace with an updated cable. This could be the issue. Also, a failing HMI would cause the screen to go dark, but usually that issue causes the screen to go dark permanently with no radio or anything working.

This...and change the battery. It may fix it otherwise your on borrowed time otherwise.
Lowering the screen does not seem to make a difference. After replacing the battery the display is on more than it’s off. But still not back to normal. When the screen is dark the radio still works fine, although I don’t think I’ve tried the phone/Bluetooth while screen is dark. My assumption is that it’s the display itself, unless Internets_Ninja is right about a cable.
