Probably a dumb question....but I assume that I can plug a leak in my c7 GS rear tire like any other car? I have a slow leak and assume I ran over a nail or something.....is this safe??
it was just a piece of metal that I drove over somewhere!! 10 min plug! Im gonna need new tires after the winter up here in the Northeast anyways =) thanks Maxpowers
You can use dyna plug to fix it, it will work.. just don't go to a track day with a plugged tire. A better way would be inside plug/patch but obviously you have to take tire off wheel for that
I was a Lexus dealer tech when the first model w/ run flats came out. OMG, no you can't plug a run flat. Owners didn't like buying a new $300 tire just because of a nail. A year later. OK, you can put a patch on the inside of the tire. Owners didn't like paying one hour labor for dismounting, patching, re-installing and balancing. Another year goes by. OK you can plug it w/ one of those plugs that expands inside the tire. Those plugs are a complete pain in the a-- to use. A few months later we were using these.
