Default Question- Throttle Response

Hello,

Question about throttle response for a 2018 GS.

When in Park and pressing the accelerator pedal, is it normal that it doesn’t rev every time it is pressed? It revs at times but not every time pressed. It sounds like it “bogs down” some of the times. However, when driving and pressing the pedal the response is close to immediate (approximate a second or so lag).

Thanks.

I'm going with not normal. Every press of the accelerator should yield a response.

Plus a second or two lag in drive seems very long.

yes normal. You can’t just consecutively rev it. Not sure why gm did that. If you tap your foot repeatedly you’ll find that there seems to be a limit on the frequency you can do it. I had my tuner tune it out.

Thanks for the info. Yes, it seems this falls under the category of "Throttle Lag" which I searched and found a lot of threads, posts, and information for..
