Default Oil filter question z51

I have a 2016 z51. Regarding oil change I'm going with mobil 1 5w30 and AC delco filter. My question is, on Amazon there are a number of AC Delco filters listed such as PF64, Replace w/PF64 (which no doubt is the same as PF64?? ) and there are several other AC Delco listings that incorporate PF64 in the model number. I know for z51 it is important that the proper filter be used. The Manual as you know states PF64. Any thoughts on this please. Too many to choose from!

An "Advanced search" across the C7 Forum sections will disclose a lot of threads about the oil filter issue and changes that have taken place. All the best. And, welcome to the Forum.

Be careful, some of the AC filters on Amazon are not GM but fakes.

Understood regarding being careful thus my question. What is the best way to get a pf64 with 22lbs bypass. Is there a specific identifyer i can look for to insure this it meets the requirements? I have had 100 cars in my life time and never expected a possible issue with buying what should be a simple pf64! Thanks all for your help!

My preference would be a WIX's filter over the AC Delco number WL10290XP just my opinion.

https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/wi...il+filter,5340 has great pricing at $7.30 plus shipping.

I’ll go with the Wix filter until I see the Delco that ends in 595.

Maybe just go to the Chevrolet Dealership to purchase the correct oil filter?

The Amazon filter shown at this link is GM Part Number 12706595:
https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-Original-Equipment-PF64-Engine/dp/B08LT8D2R3/ref=asc_df_B08LT8D2R3/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=525121707084&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1652295382507142481&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016829&hvtargid=pla-1323661324278&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-Original-Equipment-PF64-Engine/dp/B08LT8D2R3/ref=asc_df_B08LT8D2R3/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=525121707084&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1652295382507142481&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016829&hvtargid=pla-1323661324278&psc=1

The local Walmart site I looked at had a PF64 Part Number 12640445.

Amazon also has ‎12696048 on sale but their info section at the bottom of the web page indicates this part number has been discontinued by GM.

First let me state for clarity that I am an AMSOil dealer but do not sell to customers other than for my own use.

That being said, I highly recommend the AMSOil Signature series full synthetic 5W-30 oil and their filter for both the LT-4 and LT-1 engines.

See link. "https://www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-and-light-truck/2016/chevrolet/corvette/6-2l-8-cyl-engine-code-7-lt1-7/?volume=us-volume"

The oil is superior to Mobil 1 according to the following independent oil analysis that can be found at, "540ratblog.wordpress.com"

Amazingly enough, so does my local Chevy dealer parts department. And, amazinly enough, they have the newest correct part number fresh and in stock. Price is the same or pennies difference than Walmart.

No worries, no stress thinking is it a genuine GM part or the correct part.

I bet you will find the same at your local Chevy parts counter too.

I would not trust the health of the engine to parts that can be sourced through Amazon. I'm not an Amazon hater, I buy stuff them all the time.

But for my engine, I get the correct parts needed from my local Chevy dealership.

Delco in cooperation with GM over the years have made small changers to their parts. Like oil filters to fit several different car models then they originally did. It seems every year or so the part number changes and I think it now fits several more car types. I know they do this to save cost and reduce over all inventories but would prefer a change to improve the filter which every time I pick one up it seems lighter and cheaper. Just my opinion.
