Default front camera help

bought a 2017 z06 from a shop in Detroit. its a rebuild car city aside from the paper it is a fine ride. my issue is the front cameras aren't working. the shop has been as helpful as they can short of returning the car 600 miles for them to diagnose the issue.
to date the car was a front hit. so the entire front end has been replaced with all new oem parts. when im in the car the rear backup camera works fine. the front cameras (all new) the infotainment screen is just black. new cameras have been checked and are plugged in. the camera module has been swapped out and does the same as the original. the hmi was replaced and shop now thinks the hmi is only programmed for the rear camera operation

so my question is can a dealer or my tuner program the hmi to turn on the front cameras? what would be needed to do this? is the software used plugged into the obdii? im a mechanical type person I can turn wrenches all day but tech stuff baffles me. I dont even know what hmi means! just trying to be as informed as possible when I take it to the shop.

First question is it a 2/3LZ? 1LZ doesnt come with them. Perhaps in the rebuild they added the 2LZ grill with cameras. Otherwise check the camera connections first and go from there.

You will need to gain access to a GM MDI Diagnostic Scanner to read the codes. Here are some codes related to the front view fascia camera and the diagnostic procedures to go with them. I also suggest you check out the PDR to see if you can display its recordings on the center dash screen. Record about 30 seconds of video with the car standing still and then try and display it on the front screen. For the PDR to work you will need a FAT32 formatted 32 GB SD card. Most 32 GB cards come preformatted to FAT32 so make sure you pick the right one off the stand.

Here are pictures of the related diagnostic codes and procedures:

Do you have the icon on the screen to manually turn on the front cameras? If it's not there, that's pretty much a guarantee the HMI is programmed wrong.

can you show me what it looks like? I have the camera icon and it shows front / rear but only the rear works. basically I have done all I can do mechanically. I dont have any tech equipment and wouldn't know how to use it anyway. guess it goes to the dealer and try to explain to them what it does/doesnt do and see if they can program it to work. the parts are all there just not working

If the front camera screen comes on, but there's just no image, then the HMI is programmed correctly.

The only other thing I can suggest to check is the connector under the driver's side fender. You can get to it by taking the wheel liner out. The two cameras plug into a harness in the bumper, and then that harness connects to a 12(?) pin gray connector under the fender near the mag ride module. You might even be able to see it if you shine a flashlight in the fender vent.

i have the icon pictured on my screen. When the front cameras are activated the screen is black. Cameras are confirmed plugged but since I have the bumper off I’ll trace the plugs further back

I think the cameras each plug into a short jumper harness under the bumper before they connect to the main harness, so you may want to check that too.
