smart convertible
this is the carpet that seperates the trunk from the soft top storage area.

i popped the carpet out to see how much additional storage room there might be. Yes, it was a little unfinished, but i thought i could live with it.
i tried to put the top down to see where it fit and if it needed any support in the down position.
the top would not move.
i finally noticed the car was chiming and showing me the following message (i did not copy it exactly, but it was something like this)
Hey Dummy,
put the carpet back in before the top can move
i was amazed there are carpet sensors
