what would be the result of the cam moving? Valves crashing into pistons or something else?
The phase limited doesn't stop the cam from moving. It prevents it from moving too much. It sets a new limit which allows the ecm to not have to pull timing. Making greater power as the end result. I've got a VVT Camaro with a phase limiter and 15lbs. I can only imagine what a beast it would be with 30! Good luck
The issue I’ve been having with my tune is related to timing. My car pulls massive amounts (all of it) at 2500rpm and then gives it back at about 3000rpm. There’s no knock, loads of tuners have tried to correct it, but nobody has been successful. The car is dangerous as it is sluggish off the line and then lights the tyres up and sends me sideways. After 3000rpm it runs absolutely perfect.
If you have a VVT cam, you should definitely have a phaser. If your in the northeast, try @turbomike on IG he's real good with tunes. Dudes got a waiting list to see him lol.
