Guys the meeting point between my front bumper and fender on my driver side outboard of headlights is not retaining tightly. It will pop up on its own and I can push it back into position but it comes loose again. I am thinking there is a clip loose on that side. Is there any simple way for me to correct this other than taking it to a body shop?
I think I understand. I think there are 2 screws that retain the clip. If I undo the bumper fasteners on that side you are saying the bumper should flex up enough to get a wrench on those screw heads to tighten them from underneath?
Thanks
The bracket you're talking about is inboard of the headlight. Ren80s problem is outboard of the headlight. The outer part is just held on by spring clips.
Jeff V is correct , but there is a clip in the driver side, remove the fender liner screws in front of the tire and you can pull the liner back and see if that clip that is screwed to the fender is loose. I also had one of them loose that didn't hold the cover tight. bear to get at the screws but it can be done.
Yeah I had pulled the wheel well back to try and check but couldn't see anything. Now that I know what to look for I will check for those loose screws again.
I talked about it with a body guy and he thinks the tangs on the clip may be broken. Sounds like in your case the clip was just loose.
