seems I have picked up a dtc U0100-00. looking the code up it seems theres a communication error with ecu and hard starts are a symptom which I seem to have now.
doesn't really go into detail on where to start looking or what causes the communication failure
battery is a 720 cca agm and less than 2 months old. cables are fresh and clean. alternator is also new and 2 months old
I would think if everything was connected the code could be cleared and move on but as soon as the code is cleared it comes back and im encountering a 6-8 second delayed start now

OK, thanks !!…your profile shows a 2010 so you may want to edit that with model year, mods, tune etc…like I said if you can’t comment with the ECM I would check these 2 fuses with a 12 volt test light…the ECM fuse (10 amp) is fed from the battery so it should be “hot at all times”…the ECM (30 amp) is fed from the engine ignition control relay so that fuse should receive power when the engine is cranked…I hate that Alldata does not show a fuse number…both should be in the underhood fuse lock…a quick check to see if your ECM is “alive” is to see if there is a 5 volt reference voltage on any one of the sensors…this 5 volts comes from a generator within the ECM…you can unplug the MAF/IAT sensor and see with a DVOM if you have 5 volts on the WHITE/RED wire…hold the bottom of the start button down for 5 seconds…don’t remember if you can power it up in ACC.
