UPDATE: Dealership finished their diagnostic and determined it was misfiring due to one injector completely failing and two others below spec. It aligns with the symptoms I was having and best of all my extended warranty covers everything, so I don't have to pay anything out of pocket to get it fixed. After talking with them, they explained that two additional injectors were on their way out, but not below the failure threshold, so since I work at a sister store to the chevy dealer, they told me they could do all of the injectors while they were in there for under $400 total. To have all 8 new GM OEM injectors with a parts warranty and equal flow for that little it's worth it to me so I approved all 8. I figured if 3-5 have already gone bad or are on their way out, whatever it was; a factory defect, wear/age, or previous owners causing it in some way, the issue most likely effect all of them, however even if they are fine, it won't hurt to have all new ones with a warranty and peace of mind. Unfortunately, because of Memorial Day weekend the car won't be done until next week, so I will post an update to confirm that the issues are gone when I get the car back.
SOLVED!!
Got the car back today with the new injectors and the problem seems to be gone. It was completely cold and had sat overnight before I first started it when I picked it up, and it started and ran better than ever. I noticed the exhaust especially sounded way deeper and and smoother than before, I hadn’t noticed it sounding worse before the problem started but now it sounds like a whole new car. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions, hope this thread can help someone else out.
