This is from my driver side door. The two larger pins are power and negative the five small others I’m assuming are for controls. My question is, can I test this motor by simply applying hot and negative or do I need to supply voltage and then manipulate the five pins to get the motor to work?
Well, here’s the latest. I separated the motor and drive gear from the part that actually moves the window cables and connected it to the door panel that is hooked up to the car. Electrical system. The switch is good and moved the gear of the motor. however, I put everything back together, mounted the window, the window rails, it still will not work! I can hear a clicking sound when I operate the switch, but that’s it nothing else. I also moved the window holders that are attached to the cables, and they move freely and are not in a bind of , any sort. I’m kind of at a loss now. Suggestions?
I should be able to bench test this with a DC power supply right? however, I can’t get it to work. There is a positive lead a ground lead, and a negative lead.
I’ve connected the positive lead to the positive pin in the connector, negative lead to negative pin and then jumped from negative pin on the connector to pin number 3 yet nothing work.
I’ve now gotten the window to go all the way down and go about 3/4 of the way up. It’s obvious that this is some sort of a programming issue. All I can think of is disconnecting the negative messed with the programming.
