I recently purchased a used 2016 ZR1 2LT. I discovered this "Mild to Wild" device in the engine compartment close to the fuse box. It had been disconnected. I had never seen one before but saw a few references to it in these forums. I reached out to the vendor of these products but have not yet received a reply.
Can anyone tell me about these devices? If I understand it correctly, it opens the flapper valve in the exhaust, upon demand. If anyone happens to have the owners guide, I would appreciate a photocopy. Particularly where to make the connection in the fuse box. Also, any opinions as to whether this device is really useful or not.
This is the info from my newly purchased 2008…the remotes take these 12volt batteries…I don’t like these “fuse taps” so I will rewire this thing down the road.
Engine bay fuse box:
For the 2014, it is fuse 41.
For the 2015 - 2018 it is fuse 42.
For the 2019 - it is fuse 87
If you can find the FOB for it, you can load the FOB into your sunvisor buttons. My left button is loud, my right button is quiet, my middle button is garage door opener/closer.
The previous owner may have done that for you so check to see if the buttons open/close the NPP.
