What RPM or other conditions shut off the A/C Compressor while driving?
So, my wife recently purchased a 2019 Grand Sport M7 that she's using as a daily driver. Since its currently around 100 degrees here in the Houston area, she's complaining that her A/C is turning off and then back on while driving around town. The water temp pretty much hovers around 180 degrees and the oil temp gets no hotter than 195 even in this heat. Is there an RPM during hard acceleration or perhaps some other conditions that shut off the A/C compressor during what I assume to be normal driving (according to her )?

AC normally shuts off at WOT (Wide Open Throttle).

Keep in mind, you have to be moving to get air flowing through the fans on the condenser. Without that the air conditioner won’t cool properly. Even slow speeds like 5 or 10 mile an hour will do the job but if you’re sitting in stop and go the air conditioner, he’s going to struggle. Fortunately, if there’s one thing Chevy does well it’s build good air conditioner systems.
