Has anyone experience torque tube slightly pushing thrust bearing? If so what will cause this.
Ever since new built, this is the third time the crank has been pushed.
I have the stock transmission
circle d converter
upgraded torque tube couplers
416 built
it’s in a 2014 stingray
anything will help
There have been a few threads on this recently; there is a procedure for measuring where the auto transmission should be clamping the TT (M7's have floating splines so not an issue). It seems if this keeps happening, is it with the same tech or shop? Maybe find someone better qualified to do the work?
Thankfully, I have had almost no issues with my 2014 or current 2019. There were several threads on torque tube failures and subsequent engine issues in the early years of the C7. I just have an engineer's interest in the car and tend to bookmark interesting threads or good information.
