I have no experience with the DiabloSport I3, but last year I tried to disable AFM/DOD with a newly purchased DiabloSport Predator 2 without success. The following post describes the problem I experienced:
I worked with DiabloSport support for a resolution, but after several weeks without a fix I returned the product for refund. I am now back to using the Range product
One thing that jumps out at me in your video is that it appears that when asked to turn the ignition on, your quick press of the button only puts the car into accessory mode. The instructions are very clear on that point. In a Corvette you must hold the button down for the 8 to 10 sections that it takes to initiate startup. Was that ever discussed with the Diablo folks?

Good observation. When I initially attempted to change the AFM setting using the Predator, I followed the steps with the ignition on (held 10 seconds). DiabloSport support recommended that I try again to change the setting using accessory mode. The video was that second attempt to change the AFM setting using the accessory mode. I submitted the video to support for their review. After working with support for several weeks, I returned the product before the return window (90 days) expired.
Diablo has the on / off switch backwards. Program your unit to ON to turn AFM Off. Diablo sent me a software fix to correct this issue on my I3. ON = AFM OFF OFF = AFM ON Backwards logic. Diablo should fix this software issue.
I believe that Diablo has addressed this issue and the user interface now works as it should.
In the code 'On' does not always filter down to turning the system 'ON' and vice versa for 'OFF'
