Cam question
I have a 2014 m7 non z51, afe cai ,kooks 2” headers and catless xpipe on stock exhaust. I’m looking for a mild cam for it’s my daily driver. I drive only street for now and plan on tracking just for fun on seldom occasion. I was looking for tsp or btr cam kit stage 2 but found this tsp gen v lt cam like new on fb marketplace for a good price it rates: 227/231 .635/.635 116 LSA how would this drive? I am very new to the rating numbers and am wondering what kind of performance I will be expecting for this? Anything will help thank you in advance.

That cam has almost the exact same specs as my TSP Stage 2 cam. I have a 16 Z51 M7 car and it is not rough at all. You know you have a cam and it does shake the car a little at idle. But it is very streetable.

i have the tsp vvt3 cam, nice booty shake on idle, little surge at lower rpm in 3rd, but other than that very driveable

Did I read that correctly... you are looking at a used cam? If so, I'd strongly discourage it. Btw, I'd not bother at this time with a cam change for a street car. A lot of potential issues without very great payoff. Racing, of course, is a whole 'nother world. In any event, all the best.

I'd be leary of purchasing a used cam.
I recently installed an MTI spec cam with a 114LSA which sounds very good and is driver friendly for my everyday A8 Z06. If you haven't installed yet, give Billy or Jayson a call. Outstanding communication.
