Default Drivers side window release

2016 Z06

When I open the driver door, the window releases by dropping down about an inch like its supposed to. While the door is open, and after about 3-4 seconds the window goes back up all the way, and hits the top if I close the door. If I press the open button before closing, the window drops down and I can close the door properly.

I didn't drive the car much this summer, but kept it on the charger. However I think the battery might have gone dead once after the charger got unplugged.
I reset the window positions and disconnected the battery for a while but that didn't fix it.

It doesn't do it all the time, but has anyone heard of this of have any ideas?
Thanks

Reindex your windows. Window Indexing Indexing automatically lowers the window a small amount when the door is opened. When the door is closed, the window will raise to its full up position. If either window does not index properly, it could be due to loss of power. Before returning to the dealer for service, perform the window indexing reset procedure.

Window Indexing and Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if the vehicle battery has been recharged or disconnected, or is not working. Express-up and the
convertible top will not function until the windows are reset. After battery power is restored, a message displays in the Driver Information Center. See Driver Information Center (DIC) in the manual.

Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Hold the window switch up to the fully closed position.

Do this for both windows.

Thanks.
I did reindex the windows but the problem resurfaced after a time, and it seems to be somewhat intermittent.

The battery is new last year and seems to crank over the engine just fine.
Any other ideas or possible solution's??

Default Window Index

DLC, give this procedure a try:

Start your car.
Start with the driver-side and put the window all the way down and then back up. Now put the passenger-side window down and then back up. Hold the driver-side window switch up for 3-5 seconds and then release the switch. For a second time hold the driver-side window switch up for 3-5 seconds and then release. Repeat for the passenger side.
I have read that if the indexing fails, turn your car off, then turn it on in accessory mode. Repeat the above.
