I have been invited to Florida this weekend for a Top Speed run by one of my buddies. I have a C7 Z06 that has been modified by Vengeance Racing which makes 684 RWHP. My question is what all do I need to double check before the run? What should the Tire Pressure be? Wheels should be torqued at? Just wanted to get y'all thoughts before heading down. This is just for fun so I don't know how hard I'm going to push the car really. Thanks and looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say,
Firstly, check the speed rating of your tires and make sure they are rated to high speeds (image attached).
Tire pressures at door.
wheel lug torque is 100 ft/lbs according to the manual
Most importantly, check your brakes.
I have the Vengeance Magnuson Street package in my 17 Z06 and puts out about 850 WHP.
I did the ShiftS3ctor half mile event last year and ran 18 lbs in the rear Toyo R888r’s.
My first time out and my best time was 164, hoping to hit 170 this year. Speeds are track specific and the half mile strip in Marion IN usually has 12-15 MPH head winds, 2,600’ elevation and is generally uphill.
