Side mirror glass replacement
Has anyone ever done just the side mirror glass replacement ( just the glass alone ) without removing the whole unit ?
does it snap in or etc .
i have auto dimming but probably replacing with standard regular miror ?

Mine (2024 Z51 2LT) is at the dealer right now for the driver side mirror. The auto dimming failed (locked in dim mode) back in May 2024. Part ordered Aug 2024. They FINALLY knew they had the part two weeks ago (after a ton of calls, they finally admitted they "had one in stock with a customers name on it". I said "yeah, probably MY NAME!" It was...) The one day to install/seal/test that was "planned" suddenly became two days when I dropped the car off yesterday. I just got off the phone with them and they the mirror assembly is installed, but they are fighting with the programming. Ever time they open the door, the mirror goes to the far up and out position and has to be readjusted.
Sigh.

There are several posts on the forum as how to set the mirrors. They are either too lazy or stupid or both to get it done. Barring an unknown issue that they may have caused? It's not rocket science! Good luck!
