C7 Diff Carrier/Trans Assembly VS C5 Mounting Compatability

Hey, looking for technical fitment background, to swap C7 A8 rear suspension/diff to C5 chassis. Searches show nothing

There is a reason you are finding nothing; the C7 was a fresh design from scratch. Maybe with C5s and C6s.

I believe the C6 body configuration is different above the rear axle due to changes in the differential and the differentials will not fit the C5. C7 is totally different so thats a no go for sure.

If you're trying to install a diff from a Z51/GS/Z06 car with the eLSD you'll also need all the electronics and the pump.

Zero gain that I can think of for putting a C7 diff in an earlier car.
