C-7 locks in overdrive
I have a 2014 Stingray convertible with 10,000 miles. For the first time last week, the transmission locked in overdrive when I punched it in the sport mode. When I punched it into overdrive up to about 50, I let off the gas. It didn’t disengage until I got down to about 30. I tested it and it did it several times. Again, it was in the sport mode. I did the same thing in touring mode, and the transmission disengaged immediately. It was fine in touring mode, but not in sport mode. Any thoughts on this issue. Thanks.

I'm not sure I agree with the terms your are using but it sounds like you are describing the "Performance Shift" feature of the C7 Corvette Automatic 8 speed transmission.

Sure sounds like performance shift mode to me too. My A6 does this with a blip of the throttle.@

Out of my 2014 Owner's Manual 9-41
Track – Performance Algorithm
Shift (PAS) recognizes
aggressive cornering, heavy
braking, and high acceleration to
select and hold lower gears
when not using paddles.
If the car thinks you are driving aggressive, it holds the revs up and keeps the car in lower gears to enhance performance. I call it the puppy mode.
