Stub shaft available separately
So the 14-19 stub staft for the front of the TT is available separately.
It arrived and it is exactly like the one that came out of the car, in all good ways and one bad way - it also has a 15 thousands wobble at the machined tip for the pilot bearing.
I have taken a dial indicator and it without a doubt is not the solid drive shaft its connected to. In a V-block the runout doesn't start until the splined area. On both the one that came out of the Z and the new one.
So strange. I may take the original and experiment with trying to knock it straight. Since the entire car is built around the TT, it may be a good idea to source a 300m shaft custom made but straight as an arrow. Maybe there is a market for them like the C6.
