Default Quickjack with a C7

I’m trying to choose between a Quickjack 7000TL vs a 7000TLX. The TLX will work with all my other vehicles, except the Vette. The minimum spread on the lift points of a TLX is 43” and the puck spacing on a C7 is 39”. Has anyone figured out how to “work around” that? My only other option would be to buy a TL to use on the Vette, then have to spend more to get the extensions for my other vehicles.
Thoughts?

Have you checked measurements with it rotated, so it's perpendicular rather than parallel, to the frame?

Default Quickjack cure

I added a piece of 1/4" × 3" flat bar to each of mine. I put one rubber block on the flat bar and have enough adjustment in the others normal location.

I thought about that but wonder about having enough support. Mind sending along a pic sometime?

I don't weld, so I used 3/8" bolts; drilled and tapped the Quickjack rails. Just enough clearance for the hydraulic hose.

This is just a corollary item of note when using a Quickjack 7000 on a C7 Corvette.

If you plan to install casters for improved mobility on the floor as discussed in this thread [ https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...with-ease.html ], the additional height of the casters may not allow the 7000 pound lift to clear the rocker panels and/or side skirts if they are installed, in which case the car has to be lifted off the floor first. I fabricated four square pads from three 3/4 inch thick pieces of high density particle board.glued together for a total thickness of 2-1/4 inches to provide sufficient clearance for the Quickjack. Granted, placing these is an additional step that renders the jack to be not so quick but that is the tradeoff for the ease of moving and positioning the Quickjack sections under the car more easily.

Thanks for info. I received my 7000 TLX and look forward to trying it out. I’ll be looking at adding some kind of casters for sure. Thanks again!

Is it safe to turn QuickJack frames sideways?
FWIW, my 5000TLX works perfectly this way, with no modification required.

That’s an option that I’ll be considering. Thanks!
