My 2016 Stingray has been not starting sporadically showing an error message “open and close drivers side window” then the same message with passenger side window. Check engine light comes on. After windows are opened and closed, engine will start. My dealer thinks I’m crazy. No codes are showing up. Has anyone had this happen and what was the reason and how to fix it?

When you say " it won't start " will it turn over?

it barely turns over, like the battery dies, then after I roll down the windows and roll them back up again, it will start up just fine. Also during this process my check engine light appears, then after I start it disappears again.

If you had the MIL illuminated it should have stored a trouble code and would be history if not a current code ...if your scan tool has Global OBD2 I'd look in there for a trouble code.

How old is the battery? They can cause lots of different elec problems when they go bad. Check it before and after you get it to run. What is the voltage at the battery. Does it change?
So your car is losing window indexing. Are you losing any other settings such as radio presets or seat memory? A bad battery is known to cause odd electrical glitches.
Charge the battery and see if the problem persists. A battery can go bad at any time. It needs to be tested under load, just reading the voltage is not good enough.

Yes, radio presets, time and console settings need to be reset. Battery was charged today at the dealer so if it happens again I guess we’ll replace it again. . Thank you
A 1 year old battery should be full replacement warranty or at least prorated. Have them load test the new battery before installing it. I have seen bad batteries on the shelf.
