small update to this just incase im onto to something. i now have 225 miles on the new engine without a problem. i did 2 things and im not sure what did it. 1. i replaced the MAP sensor. i also noticed it wont start if MAP is unplugged. 2. I zeroed out the VVT cam and VCT timing in HP tuners since i was getting a light throttle hesitation and noise. at this point ill keep putting on some miles and see what happens. can VVT cause this? how come car wont start with MAP disconnected?

Hi. I am having this same issue currently, but can no longer get it to start, even if it sits. It did the same thing as you, die while driving, etc. replaced fuel rail sensor hoping that was it. Was not. I also have the p2229 and p00c6 code. 2015 corvette. Hoping you solved this ? Im at a loss besides the possibility of it being fuel pump.

Below is the code setting criteria for the P00C6…P229 is not the correct DTC as it is 4 digits.

I must have been the map sensor for me. It never happens again to once I changed it. It never set a light or anything. I always had spark and fuel pressure when this would happen. Since changing the sensor I have about 2000 on it and no problems with dying out. I’m getting to to change my lifters now to get rid of the sewing machine noise.

No, map sensor was on drivers side of intake near the fuel line connection.
