Default Soler Throttle Controller Reconnect

Hello Guys,
I have a 19 C7 Grand Sport that I had installed the Soler TC onto. I got into a fender bender and while it was in the shop, I disconnected the display, with the main unit still attached to the pedal. I reattached the display unit and started the car and it immediately went into limp mode. Turned the car off, removed the display, restarted the car, and had to erase the check engine code that had popped up, but limp mode was no more. A. Can I still use the App without the display unit attached? B. How do I fix this issue? Maybe a Soler forum would be more useful, but maybe someone has had a similar issue. Thanks in advance.

Did you check with Solar? Just sayin'...

Or perhaps, just remove it completely, clear codes, unhook the battery, and start over with a clean install from scratch???

This was the 1st avenue I thought of because that's how I came to choose Soler from this forum. I thought someone else may have had the same issue. Thanks for the tip. I thought about disconnecting everything as well and starting over, but was unsure of the unhooking of the battery. Makes sense as it should reset the system. Was hoping to not lose all my other memory by unhooking it, but am not opposed to trying it. It was a narrow PITA to connect initially which is why I left it. I thought the display removed/reattached would not affect it with the car off. I must've been wrong.

Give Mike at Soler a call - he should be able to talk you through the process to get things working properly again.

If the system is still energized, and any part of the Soler TC is disconnected or reconnected a CEL will occur. Even having the key fob in range will keep the system energized. I keep the key fob away from the car about 30 feet or in a Faraday cage box.

From Soler TC manual.

Yes, you can still use the TC without the head unit as long as your app can "see" it and connect. I would also use westdad's clip from the manual as a bit of a reset. In other words, open the door, move the key fob far away from the car, do not press any pedals and reconnect your head unit after the 10 minute period.

Let us know how it goes

Alternate approach would be to just tie-wrap the display unit up under the dash and out of sight.
