Do any other phone functions still work with the car? Phone calls, playing media from the phone, display of signal strength and battery level? CarPlay depending on model year? Good info can help with troubleshooting.
Typical things to try:
- make sure the phone apps and operating system are updated
- unpair and repair phone to car
- try a different cable
- try a different USB port

I had a similar issue pop up once, and while checking modules and wiring, a buddy mentioned sms api for pushing alerts to your phone about system faults or data points. I haven't tried it yet with the Corvette, but it sounds like it could be handy for real-time updates, especially when you're chasing down weird electrical stuff.
