Okay,

I have a 2017 grand sport. Its heavily modified. It has the complete lt4 supercharger conversion kit, forged internals , cam , Weapon X pulley, ECM tune, long tube headers , high flow cats, x-pipe , and a few other things.

My car Keeps tripping code P0700 and P0711. It seems to bog down and shudder when trying to accelerate. From everything I've read it seems to point to a bad transmission temperature sensor or low transmission fluid. Below is a link to a thread in which a guy fixed this with his car by replacing the transmission temperature sensor which is part number 24298757. After doing a bit more research it seems this part number was replaced with part number 24046895. When trying to purchase this part online it also let's me know I must now buy part number 24045609 with it. It seems to be another part of the transmission harness that was updated.

I'm curious if anyone has had experience with the new parts because they sometimes change the color coding, which I've heard causes problems with the transmission shifting properly. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-finally.html

 

I also have a 2017 GS & replaced my trans temp sensor 2 weeks ago. Used part 24046895 only. Got it from Rock Auto

 

Awesome, good to know. I wonder why it was telling me I needed the additional part. Was it difficult? I've had some people say you need to loosen the transmission bolts and jack it up and others say they were able to reach all the bolts to drop the transmission pan. And did it fix your issue?

 

I am the guy , PM me with the part numbers you are questioning . The TSB called for two harnesses to be replaced the upper and the lower but the short circuit is in the lower .....

Every time I see an open up trans with the fluid dripping, I often wonder just how many years is it going to take for it to stop!

It was not a hard job to replace but it was messy , even with a drip pan lol lol 😆

I was going to do it myself but I'm probably going to have my mechanic do it now since they have to drop the transmission anyway. Getting a ton of shaking when I try to accelerate hard and we believe it could be either the drive shaft flexing or the rubber couplers at the end of the drive shaft which are apparently known to go out..

1- Not hard to do if you are mechanically inclined and have the normal assortment of hand tools
2- the short in the wiring is in the valve body harness , no need to replace the upper harness ( u have to drop the valve body to replace that one )
3- I did not jack the transmission, you can get the last four bolts out without jacking
4- Yes it fixes the issue
5- look closely at my picture above that shows the color codes of each connector and what selonoid they plug into , especially the green / white pairs the reason is when you open your trans up , you will see that the old harness wires turned Brown ....
