Has anyone ever installed a remote kill switch/remote battery disconnect? I installed one on my c7 stingray and it works great however, when you turn it back on i have lost my clock settings and it also appears to loose the seat memory. Does anyone have and solutions or even a different disconnect switch that doesn't loose any car setting once it's disconnected?
The 1 i purchased was a (Gasory) brand from Amazon, my local corvette dealer didn't have any knowledge of installing any disconnects on a C7, thats why i went to Amazon as a 2nd choice.
You're better of using a remote controlled relay for the fuel pump control module. If they get it started it will run out of gas in 15-30 seconds. You won't lose any of your settings this way.
I installed a Mobilistic "No-Start" remote controlled relay in my C7, works great. Replaces the starter relay.
I like that it automatically arms whenever the car is shut off.
3 minute installation.
No codes or DTCs.

The relay things seems cool, but if the thief has entered the car, they can open the hood & trunk. What stops them from just pulling the relay & popping in the generic one?
Thinking like a car thief, I know my target car, & what can be done to stop me, wouldn't I just carry around spare relays? They are not specific to C7's & the same ones are used across many different cars thanks to universal standards.
It would have to be a guy w/ very specific knowledge of the relay. How to recognize the aftermarket one to start. And then he'd need to have a stock one in his pocket. Certainly not impossible but I'd think pretty improbable.
Nothing is fool-proof, but I think this will prevent 90% of theft attempts. For $100 and 3 minutes of installation time, I think it is worth it.
If the car doesn't start with some ECU/Immobilizer/FOB cloning hack that thieves use, there are many things that might be the reason that the car didn't start....not sure a thief is going to want to spend alot of diagnostic time finding out why...

i know this is close to a year old but wanted to see if you were still using the relay and if so, would you still recommend it?
also, i read that it automatically kicks on after the car has been off. Im guessing you just use the fob it comes with to disarm it?
