Default Door clicking

My new to me, '14 clicks at the handle when it opens. Then, a few seconds after the door is open, it clicks 2-3 times. It sounds like it's at the body door latch.
Normal or ???

Some of the clicking could be the fuel door. It locks and unlocks with the door. Leave the door open and see if you get the same click. You should be able to see the little lock moving.
EDIT: All the clicking is the fuel door.

yes. i put a panel trim retainer in the hole so it wont lock, there have been several where the fuel door lock actuator fails and you have to pry off the gas door to get it open again

Yes it is normal, but when I lock and unlock my door, it clicks once each time. All of the clicking is the fuel door. I have auto lock setup. When I walk up to the car it doesn't click to unlock. When I walk away it doesn't click to lock. I would highly recommend to plug the little hole in the fuel door so it doesn't lock and you can't get it open. It is a known issue. If you are away from home and it doesn't open, you are screwed. There have been some people that had to tear the door off to fuel it. A very easy fix. I will send pics. I personally don't worry about someone stealing gas. It is easier to load your car on a truck than to steal a little gas.

Another example of modern electronics that we don't need or want, that could really screw us.
Thanks all.
